Directions

By Road

We are a comfortable 50 minute drive north of Auckland City.

From Auckland, head North on State Highway 1. Partial road toll after Orewa turnoff or take the coastal route instead. There are signs to indicate both. Approx. 60Km.

At Warkworth, turn right at the third set of lights. There will be signs directing to Matakana, Leigh, Omaha, etc.

Follow Matakana Road that leads to Matakana village, Leigh and Omaha. Approx. 12Km from Warkworth to Matakana.

Continue past Matakana Village, straight ahead at the roundabout and over the bridge. Do not turn left into the village.

After approx. 1km take the first right to Omaha, Takatu Road.

At the T intersection and round-about you will see the Providence Vineyard ahead.

Turn right towards Tawharanui Regional Park, Takatu Road.

After another 1km, take the first road on your right, Whitmore Road.

Takatu Lodge is 1.2km further on the left.

When you arrive at Takatu, you will find two entrances. The first is to Takatu Vineyard and the second to Takatu Lodge. Please use the second entrance.

Only 15 minutes from the city or direct from Auckland International Airport. Enjoy the scenic beauty of Auckland's stunning gulf islands and coastline on your way to Takatu Lodge.
